You need to get rid of all expectations, fear, egocentricity, and that need for praise and attention. You must strive to think for yourself, yet give yourself up to the knowledge and purpose of the coaches and personnel. Be like sponges and sort out the information into your own style and potential. You can get the most out of what you have by giving yourself up, while not expecting to be spoon-fed. Push yourselves to the limit…that point where you want to rest or quit, but don’t…which will give you that pure strength that will let you achieve anything you set out to do.
