Prtc Attends the 2015 World Team Training Camp

Published September 1st, 2015 by PRTC Wrestling

The PRTC recently returned from Colorado Springs where the Olympic Training Center and Air Force Academy co-hosted the 2015 World Team Training Camp. Along with our resident athletes, several Penn and Drexel wrestlers made the trek to train with some of the best wrestlers in the world! The camp included two workouts per day over 10 days. These training sessions ranged from skill instruction, live combat, runs and hikes through rough terrains such as Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods, weight lifting and video review.

It was a great opportunity for our athletes combining intense workouts and terrific camaraderie while competing with the sport’s elite.

PRTC Head Coach Brian Dolph, Penn Head Coach Alex Tirapelle, Drexel Head Coach Matt Azevedo and Drexel Assistant Coach Zach Sheaffer traveled as well, ensuring each athlete got the most out of their experience. Also in attendance were Team USA coach Brandon Slay and Penn All American Micah Burak.
