The Pennsylvania Regional Training Center (PRTC) has announced an agreement with Earl Hall to become the first participant in the PRTC’s Flex-Athlete Program. The program allows Olympic-level wrestlers to remain committed to their current Regional Training Center while gaining the opportunity to train at the PRTC.
Earl currently wrestles for the Cavalier Wrestling Club at the University of Virginia at 61K. He was a four-time NCAA Championship qualifier and two-time All-American at Iowa State. He is a University National Champion in Freestyle at 61K.
As a PRTC flex-athlete, Earl will spend considerable time at the PRTC’s facilities to train with current PRTC member BJ Futrell as well as Penn and Drexel wrestlers.
“We are excited to add Earl Hall as a flex-athlete. To bring a University National Champion and two-time All-American to our Olympic Training Center four to six times a year is fantastic for Earl and the overall development of the PRTC’s senior, college, and high school wrestlers,” said Brandon Slay, Executive Director and Head Coach of the PRTC.
“The ability to work with the PRTC is a great opportunity, both on and off the mat. As a flex-athlete, I can wrestle in three different environments and receive guidance from different coaches and training partners who each have their own style and technique to learn. Additionally, this program allows me to step outside my normal training schedule and build relationships with the phenomenal people who make up the PRTC’s wrestling community.”
