Developmental Training Schedule is Set!

Published July 22nd, 2024 by Kevin McGuigan

Now that Fargo Nationals are complete, we are ready for a short break before heading back into the room for folkstyle training!

Coach Doug Zapf will once again be leading Developmental practices this Fall. Doug is an accomplished Senior Level athlete and U23 National Champion. He is a former PRTC Developmental athlete who went to Penn and transitioned to the senior level with the PRTC. Doug brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Developmental program.

We begin Wednesday evening practices on September 18th. We'll practice every Wedensday from 6:30-8pm at the University of Pennsylvania. Training will continue until November 6th.

There will be three special Sunday practices this Fall. On September 22nd and October 20th, we'll practice from 1:30-3:30pm at Penn. On October 6th from 1:30-3:30pm, we will hold our annual Pre-Super 32 Training Camp, also at the University of Pennsylvania. These extra practices will be beneficial to all athletes hoping to advance their wrestling this coming winter.

ALL of the PRTC practices are FREE to attend.

Every athlete who trains at the PRTC must meet the RTC criteria set forth by our governing body, USA Wrestling. That criteria can be found here

Eligibility to train at the PRTC is also determined by location. Each athlete must live within the 250 mile radius of the PRTC.

All athletes who meet the USA Wrestling RTC criteria, live within the 250 mile radius, and want to train with the PRTC must complete our mandatory consent form. That form can be found here.

More information about training with the PRTC can be viewed at this link: Train with the PRTC

Any questions or concerns can be directed to our General Manager, Kevin McGuigan at kevin@pennsylvaniartc.org
